Last night, multi-instrumentalist/looper extraordinaire, Keller Williams performed a solo (if you can really call it solo) show at Higher Ground in South Burlington, VT. I picked up my ticket earlier this week, worried that it would be close to selling out. I was surprised to find that ticket sales were going much slower than anticipated. [...]

Have some cake. Today is the one-year anniversary of the day I launched this blog. If I’d known all the fun I was getting myself into, I would have started earlier! I’ve learned many things along the way and have (hopefully) improved my writing and blog-specific skills.
I’ve been keeping track of my blog view statistics [...]

The time has come! I decided that it was time to claim my own domain and move the blog over to Benobriensmith.com. It was a fairly simple move to make and I certainly encourage other bloggers out there to secure their own domain as well.
I happened to use Godaddy.com to register the domain. I found a [...]

I happened to see this on photographer Chase Jarvis’ blog and I thought it was quite cool. This technology allows users to see a hologram created by image recognition software running in tandem with a web cam. It’s being called “Augmented Reality.” Now, if that seemed like totally unrecognizable geek-talk to you, then here’s the the [...]

Note: View it soon, who [...]

It’s not a joke, it’s a beautiful thing. The members of the 1984 joke band, Spinal Tap (from the movie This is Spinal tap), have reunited for a 30-city tour this spring. If you haven’t seen the film, gather some friends and take some time this weekend to educate yourself with their classic rock mockumentary [...]

A bunch of friends of mine and I decided that there was no way we weren’t going to check out the midnight premiere of the graphic-novel turned film, Watchmen. We made our way (on foot- we’re environmentally conscious! [read: don't have cars]) to the Roxy Cinema in downtown Potsdam where we waited close to the [...]
